Costs
The cost depends on the nature and scope of the assessment and the amount of time required to complete it.
Assessments include the parent intake appointment, evaluation sessions with the child, scoring, interpretation, report generation and parent feedback appointment. Typically, there is a child feedback appointment for children 10+.
The fee for assessment for younger children is less than that for high school or college students. Please call the office and we can give you a “ballpark” fee based on your child’s age and presenting difficulties. A definitive fee will be determined at the time of initial Parent Consultation appointment when your child’s assessment needs have been clearly determined.
INSURANCE / Payments
Psychoeducational (learning) Assessments and Neuropsychological Assessments for learning and developmental issues are not covered services through health insurance.
Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted for payment.
Health Savings Accounts can often be used for payment (you need to check wit your tax consultant for details).
Payment for services is due at the time of the initial child assessment appointment.
*** If there is a clear “medical need” (traumatic brain injury, seizure disorder, post brain surgery) then neuropsychological assessment is often covered by health insurance when pre-authorized.
